Although many people receive their Medicare benefits through Original Medicare, directly from the federally administered program, there are others who choose to receive their Medicare benefits from a private health plan company like Providence.

When you choose Providence Medicare Plans to administer your benefits, you gain extra coverage and peace of mind. With access to an extensive network of providers and services that deliver high quality care and worldwide ambulance, emergency and urgent care coverage.

You can also take comfort in the fact that Providence Medicare provides access to many non-emergency services, such as routine physical and eye exams, as well as diagnostic tests.

Plus you also have access to information about your health, including our free Providence RN Medical Advice Line that is available 24 hours, seven days a week!

The products and services described here are neither offered nor guaranteed under our contract with the Medicare program. In addition, they are not subject to the Medicare appeals process. Any disputes regarding these products and services may be subject to the Providence Health Plan grievance process.

Through Providence Medicare Plans you will also have access to value added services, like LifeBalance.

The LifeBalance program offers discounts just for our members, on things like recreational activities, plays, movies, retail items, health and wellness services and more! You will also receive discounted prices on our vision, hearing and alternative care programs.

Providence Medicare Plans are health plans with a Medicare contract, where your Medicare coverage is delivered through Providence. This means, once enrolled, you use Providence Medicare Plans instead of Original Medicare. Please remember, if you decide to enroll in Providence Medicare Plans, you are still part of the Medicare program.

Please note: When you choose Providence Medicare Plans, you must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium.

Providence offers plans with and without prescription drug coverage.

The primary difference between the benefits is the amount you pay for premiums and copays.

The Providence Medicare Extra plan has higher monthly premiums but lower copays

while the Providence Medicare Choice plan has lower monthly premiums with higher copays.

In addition, the Providence Medicare Choice plan gives you the option to use any physicians or providers that accept Medicare and does not limit you to the providers that are part of the Providence plan network.

This chart shows how much you will pay out of pocket for each of the different plans. Simply pause the demo now to read this carefully, or print it for future reference.

You can enroll in a Providence Medicare Plan if:

You are entitled to hospital coverage through Medicare Part A and are enrolled in Medicare Part B.

You reside in a county where Providence Medicare Plans are offered. (Contact your plan if you are part of an employer group for additional coverage areas.)

And,

You do not have End-Stage Renal Disease. Some exceptions may apply.
